Although the weather may have meant that many of our club members haven't been around diving over the past few weeks that didn't stop everyone getting their dancing shoes on for this year’s Christmas party. A three course Christmas dinner followed by awards and dancing, what better way to get into the Christmas spirit!!! The evening proved to be highly successful with over 40 people attending. Following dinner we were due to have our very own Divemaster, Helen, present the awards, but unfortunately she handed this task over to Mark!!
We had awards for achievement in diving for Dee and commitment to diving awards to our dynamic duo of Bob and Derrick! We also had some embarrassing awards, one for Graham, who needs some work on his Navigation after getting lost at Devils Point, Katie with her prowess of putting all her mishaps into one weeks diving aboard and Bex for her inability to deploy an SMB quickly. And finally Kris with his Equipment Speciality Award for managing not only to break and loose most of his equipment but also for taking ages to organize himself before a dive!!!! Kris also received this year’s converted Darwin Award, for which Graham was quite relived that he wasn’t to receive it this year!!!!
The night move to the dance floor where I’m not sure who had the best moves but it was quite close between our team of instructors consisting of Paul and Graham against our team of skippers, Sean, Chris and Charlie…
I would just like to thank all those who came along to make it such a great night.Check out the pictures in photo Gallery Click Here
